Whoopi Goldberg Asked To Step Down From ‘The View’ For ‘Mansplaining’

New York, New York- In a surprising move this week, producers of ‘The View’ have asked longtime host Whoopi Goldberg to step down. Producers have announced that ratings have dropped as the predominantly female audience has complained of too much ‘mansplaining’ by Goldberg.

Goldberg, who has hosted The View since 2007, said he was shocked that the producers would do this after all he had given the show. Goldberg declined to comment further as he plans to take legal action in the matter. When our Offended American staff tried to contact producers for the show we simply got generic email responses stating, “Whoopi was a great asset to the show for many years but it was time for us to move on and we will not be commenting further.”

Whoopi has many controversial moments that we assume have some bearing on the decision to let him go. We all remember his quote about the Holocaust saying that it was “not about race.” People close to the show have leaked information that the producers were ready to remove him after those comments caused such an uproar.

“The producers had told us all that was the last straw,” a nameless intern told our Offended American staff, “But they decided to give Whoopi one last chance.” The intern didn’t go into much detail about what Whoopi specifically said that got him fired but we can only assume that his overbearing tone and always appearing to argue with the women on the show was enough to get him the boot.

With things like toxic masculinity being such a predominant topic lately, it is unfortunate that The View will lack a male point of view. We here at The Offended American believe that all races and sexes should have their voices heard and it is unfortunate that The View is trying to silence men.
