Back To Their Roots: MTV To Air Music Videos From 2:17AM To 2:22AM Every Tuesday

Los Angeles, CA- After a continued 20-year downward spiral in the ratings category, MTV is taking it back to their roots. The once booming and successful music channel has all but abandoned music and music videos– the innovative product they introduced to the world in the early 1980’s.

Our staff here at The Offended American reached out to the CEO of MTV, Robert Bakish, to get his take on what the company is doing to try to rite the ship. “We are going all in!” He exclaimed, seeming slightly intoxicated, “We’re bringing music videos back, baby!” He said that he really wanted to get back to their roots and bring back what made them so successful in the 80’s and 90’s.

“We’re bringing music videos back like never before!” He excitedly explained, “We’re gonna be playing that shit back-to-back! The videos will play nonstop from 2:17AM Eastern time to 2:22AM every Tuesday morning!” He went on to explain that this is time for at least two music videos to play. “If it goes well we might even take it to 2:25AM, extending it for one more song,” he continued, “But that’s just not in our budget right now.”

The jovial CEO said that they plan to obviously keep Jersey Shore, The Challenge, and Ridiculousness playing for the remainder of every single day, but not during the allotted 5 minute time slot early each Tuesday morning. “Oh yeah, we’ll play all of those shows until this channel is dead,” he said as the conversation concluded.
