Chicago, Ill.- Scary reports coming out of Chicago’s O’Hare International Airport this afternoon as it appears a man has been tackled aboard a flight and taken into custody by federal agents this afternoon.

Terminal 1, servicing United Airlines at O’Hare, has been completely closed down since the incident occurred around 1:45 PM today. Passengers on United Flight 1254, flying non-stop from Seattle, were seen using the emergency inflatable slides to exit the aircraft in the middle of the taxiway.

Preliminary reports that have come out are saying a man wearing a suit and tie, with a “douchey” looking face, began clapping as soon as the wheels of the plane hit the runway. Our TOA reporters were able to track down passenger Tamara Crowder to get her take on the story.

“I was sitting about 2 rows behind the man who is now in custody,” Crowder explained, “he was super douchey for most of the flight. When we took off he threw his arms up like we were on a roller coaster, screaming ‘woohoo!’. I had assumed if there was an air marshal on the flight, that would have been the point where he took him out, but that apparently didn’t warrant any intervention.”

Crowder went on to explain that the man in custody “began to slow clap as soon as the wheels hit the ground.” She explained that everyone began to look at one another wondering if they should take action. “Some of the passengers had contemplated bull-rushing the man as his claps became faster and faster, but before we knew it the man had unbuckled his seatbelt and was actually standing up clapping. It was at this point the air marshal immediately took action. It was like a scene from a movie,” Crowder excitedly explained. “Everyone was cheering and some of the men actually helped hold the man down until more federal agents arrived.”

“I’m no hero. I’m just a man doing my job,” explained Agent Jim Dobbs, the hero who took down the clapper. “It’s a disgusting world out here and I’m privileged to have the opportunity to take these sick bastards down. You need to commend the pilots and crew for getting the plane stopped and passengers evacuated as promptly as they did. You never know what these clappers are gonna do, even in custody. I was glad I had my cuffs on me.”
